Last spring I had the honor of attending FGI, which is a fashion show in Dallas for students and up and coming designers. For this competition, students who submit their work are required to do so under supervision of a teacher during the current school year. The possibilities of what students submit are endless, but students are judged on construction, creativity and wearability. Although I did not submit a garment myself, the experience was inspiring and informative. The first place we visited was a manufacturing company in Dallas. Here we were able to see behind the scenes how manufacturing companies work. From there we explored Dallas and eventually made it to the fashion show where we got to see fellow Tech student's work displayed and shown on the runway.
