Lauren Craft Collection

Role: Social Media Intern

June 2019- 2020

Last summer, I was given the opportunity to work with the amazing Lauren Craft.

Lauren Craft is a jewelry designer in Houston, Texas who sells high-end jewelry with

and edgy/timeless flare. She began her company in New York and decided to bring

her stylish pieces back home to the place she grew up. In doing so, it became a

challenge to get the word out about her line.

My job last summer was to revamp her Instagram, which she previously had and

posted on sporadically. To do this, I began researching current social media trends

and discussing what she had in mind. Because she sells luxury jewelry, her target

market is established women who meet in person to buy jewelry one on one, with the

hopes of building clientele. The purpose of the Instagram is to not only create a

professional presence online, but to resemble a catalog of her current pieces. My job has been to create a layout of what the Instagram will feature, pose for pictures in the jewelry, edit photos, find content from other artists and photographers, engage with users, and promote special events and holidays through the posts and through stories. I am currently responsible for daily posts and keeping up with the followers.

Due to COVID, our daily postings have halted due to a lack of new content. We look forward to taking more pictures in the new line and sharing with our followers.
